I kneeled beside a bed that wasn’t mine. Contemplation seemed like too much work. I put on my headphones, finding the words needed yet I couldn’t speak. Leaning my forehead against the covers I waited. Slowly the notes began playing my life. A reality I had learned, I wasn’t alone to feel like this. My smoke signals went up in worship. There was nothing more to do but linger for a while.
(Message) Isa 26:8-9a We’re in no hurry, GOD. We’re content to linger in the path sign-posted with your decisions. Who you are and what you’ve done are all we’ll ever want. Through the night my soul longs for you. Deep from within me my spirit reaches out to you.
